David’s 388 is a small neighborhood restaurant in South Portland and part of Chef David Turin’s group of popular restaurants in Southern Maine.
Since opening in 2007, Turin and his team have created a loyal local following by providing friendly service and a menu that consistently pleases both those seeking creative fare and those who appreciate the more traditional.

David’s 388 is an easily walkable destination for those in the Willard Square area of South Portland and offers convenient parking directly in front of the restaurant for guests visiting from further away.
The four kitchen counter seats — our Chef’s Counter – are among the most requested “tables” in the restaurant, where guests can enjoy all the action from the kitchen up close.
The dining menu is also offered at our full service bar, which offers a selection of specialty cocktails and a seventy bottle wine list.
Young, creative and energetic, Chef Leddy brings his own personal flair to David’s 388. Inspired by seasonal ingredients and a personal love of Mediterranean flavors, pasta, cured meats and braising, Chef Leddy is always up for a new culinary experiment — just ask him for a taste.
Leddy’s easy smile and quick wit have earned him many followers at the Chef’s Counter. And as far as we are aware, Chef Dylan “Yoshi” Leddy holds the world record for the fastest fillet and portioning of a whole Scottish Salmon at 4 minutes and 10 seconds… wow!
